----------------William F. Riggs Jr., age 74, of Collegeville, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
He was born in Roxborough, PA, on May 14, 1952, the son of the late William Riggs and the late Mary (Walzer) Riggs.
Bill lived in Collegeville for over 40 years, formerly of Bridgeport, and grew up in the Miquon section of Whitemarsh Township.
He was a member of St. Eleanor RC Church in Collegeville, PA.
Bill worked as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic with G. A. Vietri Electrical Contractor.
Bill was a lifelong member of the Lower Pottsgrove Sportsman's Association and a member of the Port Indian Ski Club. He loved spending time outdoors, especially camping and boating in Northeast Maryland. He enjoyed riding his Harley, participating in poker runs, playing guitar, and taking vacations to Tennessee and Sea Isle City.
Above all, Bill was known for his personality, humor, and ability to make everyone around him laugh. He had a gift for making up the greatest nicknames, being the life of the party, and coming up with his own unforgettable sayings his famous "Billyisms." He could make up words to just about any country song, turning ordinary moments into memories that his family and friends will cherish forever.
Bill had a big heart and an even bigger personality. He loved his family dearly and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his beloved granddogs. His laughter, stories, nicknames, sayings, and unmistakable sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his spouse of over 52 years, Janee (Simmons) Riggs of Collegeville; daughters Jill (David) Beeler of Willow Hill, PA, Kristy (Michael) Babore of Royersford, PA, and Lauren (Brian) Pasqueal of Gilbertsville, PA; and his brother, Joseph Riggs (Angela). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Abigail, Sydney, Brendan, Logan, Luke, and Morgan; great-grandchild Blaze; and many granddogs.
William was preceded in death by his father, William Riggs, and mother, Mary Riggs.
His Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Eleanor's RC Church, 647 Locust Street, Collegeville, PA 19426.
Relatives and friends may greet the family before Mass from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the church.
Interment will be private.
