Virginia (Lammer) King, a longtime resident of Philadelphia, PA died peacefully in Devon, PA on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at 82 years old.
She was a loving mother to two daughters, Wendy M. Anderson and Tanya Ullman, and an adoring grandmother to Rachel, Alex, Samuel, and Liam.
As a proud Philadelphian and resident of Overbrook Farms, Virginia enjoyed the city's rich history, museums, and the delights of The Reading Terminal Market.
She spent most of her Human Resources career as an employee of the City and worked for several law firms in town.
She was a skilled sewer and knitter creating stunning dresses, coats, and sweaters.
Virginia loved all things French which was piqued while attending Immaculata University and majoring in languages.
Virginia relished the sun on a warm day and spent many years vacationing in New Orleans. She brought life to every room, and connected with everyone she met. Virginia will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her!
Virginia is predeceased by her husband, Elwood "Ed" King, and sister, Carol McFarland. She was the oldest of five siblings. Her three surviving siblings include Robert Lammer (Dorothy), Christine DiCioccio (Anthony), and Francis "Jay" Lammer (Jennifer).
