Timothy Sidie (39) passed away suddenly September 19, 2026 at Georgetown University Hospital DC, following several medical procedures.

He was born September 15, 1987 at Phoenixville Hospital, was the son of James Michael Sidie Jr. and Darlene Apgar Sidie (Collegeville PA), and brother to Jonathan Michael Sidie (Naples, FL). Tim grew up in Collegeville, and earned a BS in Computer Science from Ursinus College. He leaves behind Bethany Lee (Reston VA), his loving partner of eleven years. Together they planned their future life. They especially enjoyed travel including Japan (twice), Australia, Alaska, Iceland, London, Naples FL, Colorado Rockies, Portland OR, and San Francisco. He was always happiest when in Beth's company.

Tim's residence was in Georgetown DC; he began his career in Software Engineering at NASA Space Flight Center (Greenbelt MD) and later at Webb Space Telescope (Baltimore). He continued his career as co-founder of BitCoinShop with NASA colleagues. Tim dreamt of using his exceptional coding skills to help individuals diagnose illnesses using smartphone sensors and founded Hipmed. Growing up in Collegeville, Tim especially enjoyed summer visits to Woods Hole MA and interactions with students at the Marine Biological Laboratory. Among his other interests, Tim taught himself the Irish Fiddle and flute. He performed at Sessions in Philadelphia and Falmouth MA. Tim leaves behind many relatives in the Sidie and Apgar families.

Tim was a wonderfully gifted and loving person. He will be tremendously missed every day of our lives.

His Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 29 at 11:00 AM at St. Teresa of Calcutta RC Church, 256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville, PA 19473. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Tuesday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Church prior to Mass.
