Thomas G. Mellon
Thomas G. Mellon, 81, of King of Prussia, PA passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025.
He was born in Norristown, Pennsylvania on November 10, 1943, the son of the late James F. and the late Alice B. (Dettra) Mellon.
Thomas has been living in King of Prussia since 1971, formerly of West Conshohocken, Pa.
He served in the US Army as a Mechanic, while stationed in Frankfurt, Germany.
He worked as a truck driver with the Teamsters, then Owned and operated his own trucking company, Main Line Transfer for over 25 years. After retiring from driving truck he worked with Upper Merion School District.
Thomas was a member of West Conshohocken Hometowners and the Sons and Daughters of Italy Montgomery County Chapter.
He enjoyed playing golf and cards with his friends and spending time with his family.
He was the husband of The Late Patricia G. ( Carfagno ) Mellon.
Survivors include, Son Thomas A. (Leila) Mellon of Limerick, Pa, Daughter Christine M.(Paul) Kolbmann of Pottstown, Pa, also survived by his Grandchildren Joshua (Jill) Mellon, Emily Kolbmann, Jacob (Zyda) Mellon, Katherine Kolbmann, Noah Mellon and Elizabeth Mellon, and Great Grandchildren Brooke and Aenea.
Along with his wife and parents he was preceded in death by his brothers James "Spike" Mellon, Lou Mellon and his sister Patricia Laskey.
His service will be on Saturday October 18, 2025 at 11:00 am from Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, Pa 19428.
There will be a visitation for family and friends on Saturday morning from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa at a later date..
Memorial Contributions may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital - 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105
