Thomas Adam DiGiacomo, Jr. (Tipper, Tommy D) 70, of Lafayette Hill, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, May 27, 2024, surrounded by his family. Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Sr. and Lucy (Desiderio).
Thomas is survived by his wife, Guisseppina, (Brogno) and their sons, Adam, and Nicolas. He is also survived by his sons, Thomas III, Damien (Elisa) and Joseph. Tom was blessed with 6 grandchildren, Jasmine, Isabella, Damien, Gabriella, Gia and Jada, and 2 great grandchildren. He is also survived, by his brother Alexander DiGiacomo Sr. (Anna Maria) and sister, Paula DiGiacomo, and nephew, Alex Jr. and niece, Annamaria DiGiacomo-Mitchell.
Tom was born in North Philadelphia to Thomas (Wawa) and Lucy DiGiacomo on May 16th, 1954. He attended grade school at St. Mary of the Eternal and went on to graduate from Roxborough High School in 1972. Tom's passion as a young boy was playing baseball in the SanMaret League, which his father was a coach, along with his neighborhood friends. As a teenager, he also played in leagues all over the city. His second love was playing the guitar and music. Tom worked briefly for both the Budd Company and the City of Philadelphia. He eventually started his own construction business. As his sons grew, he taught them everything he knew about the construction business.
Tom will truly be missed by his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA 19444, on Saturday, June 15, 2024, visitation from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM.
Interment will be private.
