Sergio Nascimento

Sergio Nascimento, 76, of Plymouth Meeting, PA passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025.

He was born in Ponte, Italy on November 15, 1948, the son of the late Giovanni and the late Francesca (Pastore) Nascimento.

Sergio has been living in Plymouth Meeting since 1975, and is formerly of Norristown where he grew up since he was 5 years old when his family moved to the United States.

He was the devoted husband of his beloved wife of 53 years, Donna M. ( Wasser ) Nascimento, who preceded him in death last year.

He worked as a Train Engineer for over 30 years, first at Conrail, and then Norfolk Southern, before he retired in 2008. In retirement, he was an avid golfer and a member of Jeffersonville Golf Club. But his true passion was his family, and he and Donna would always be found on the sports field and in the schools, wherever their 7 grandchildren were playing or performing.

Sergio served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, where he received the National Defense Service Medal and Parachute Badge.

He was a member of Holy Saviour RC Church of Norristown, PA.

Survivors include, Son Sergio Christian (Meredith) Nascimento of Audubon, PA, Son, Jude (Betty) Nascimento of Eagleville, PA, Brother Neal (Judy) Nascimento of Ormond, FL. He is also survived by his beloved Grandchildren Charlie, Ava, CJ, Sammy, Leo, Danny and Sophia.

Along with his wife and parents he was preceded in death by 2 sisters Gina Laspro and Natalie Boorse.

His Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 10:30 AM from Holy Saviour Church, 407 E. Main Street, Norristown, PA.

Friends may call on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at Holy Saviour Church, 407 E. Main Street, Norristown, PA.

Interment will take place in St. Benedict Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA.
