Ruth Lois Troster

Ruth Lois Troster, 96, of Norristown, PA passed away Monday, February 20, 2023.

She was born in Skippack, Pa on January 13, 1927, the daughter of Lewis and Ruth Lois ( Anson ) Troster.

Ruth has been living in Meadowood for the last 3 years, formerly of Norristown where she lived for over 50 years, and she was born and raised in Skippack, Pa.

She was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Blue Bell, Pa.

Ruth was also a member of the Broadcast Pioneers, the Daughters of American Revolution and a longtime member of Manufacturers Country Club.

She was a Radio Journalist for WNAR and was known as the first woman on the radio.

and also taught ballet and taught at Harcum College of Bryn Mawr, Pa.

She is survived by many friends.

Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 11:00 AM from St. John Lutheran Church, 1802 Skippack Pike, Blue Bell, PA.

Friends may call on Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church.

Interment will take place in St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery, Center Square, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. John's Lutheran Chhurch, 1802 Skippack Pike, Blue Bell, Pa 19422.
