Ruth S. Raubertas, age 100, of Norristown, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2026.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on May 26, 1926, she was the beloved daughter of the late Frank and Emily (Pascavage) Simolunas and the devoted wife of the late Peter P. Raubertas.
Ruth lived in King of Prussia and East Norriton, PA, before making her home at Shannondell at Valley Forge in 2008. Throughout her life, Ruth was a voracious reader-even confessing that she would occasionally skip school just to spend the day at the library. She kept her mind sharp with crosswords and Sudoku puzzles, and she loved the camaraderie of group games like bridge, bocce, and Rummikub, treasuring the lasting friendships she made along the way. Ruth also possessed a spirit of adventure - she would go anywhere at a moment's notice and was fortunate to spend time exploring the world from the Canary Islands and Majorca, to Lithuania, Bermuda and the Caribbean.
Above all, Ruth's greatest delight was her family. Becoming a grandmother and great-grandmother brought her immense joy. She was a tireless babysitter-always ready to lend a helping hand, open her doors, and pour her love and energy into the next generations. She was extraordinarily proud of each and every one of them.
She is survived by her two sons, Richard Raubertas (Juliana Potter) of Peterborough, New Hampshire and Michael (Ruth) Raubertas of Woodstock, IL; her two daughters, Susan Milles of Wayne, PA, and Nancy (Nicholas) Bafaloukos of Collegeville, PA; seven cherished grandchildren: Clara, Rachael, Henry, Alexander, Timothy, Benjamin, and Stephen; and two adoring great-grandchildren, Tess and Ellie.
Along with her husband and parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Raubertas; her brother, Frank Simolunas; and her sister, Anna Neizo.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Friday, November 6, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette St., Conshohocken, PA 19428. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ruth's memory to: The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
