Mary R. Hozey, age 81, of East Norriton, PA passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. Mary was a passionate matriarch, devoted wife, and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose absence will be felt tremendously.

She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on December 30, 1940, the daughter of the late Nunziato and Laura Straface. Mary has been living in East Norriton for 20 years, formerly of the East Falls section of Philadelphia. She was a parishioner of St. Helena RC Church and a former parishioner of St. Bridget RC Church.

She was the wife of the late John "Jack" Hozey, Jr.

Mary is survived by her son, John (& Rhonda) Hozey, III of Cape Charles, VA; daughter, Renee Kyle of Philadelphia, PA; four grandchildren, John (Jack) IV, Megan, James, Ashley, and two great-grandchildren, Bradley and Graysen.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Rose Sowisdral and two brothers, Natale Straface and Francis Straface.

Her Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM in St. Helena RC Church, 1489 Dekalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422. Relatives and friends may call on Friday morning from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Church.

Interment will be private and held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Helena Church at the above address or St. Bridget RC Church, 3669 Midvale Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19129.
