Mary Ann Romberger, age 84, of West Norriton, PA passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025.
She was born in Norristown, PA on January 13, 1941, the daughter of the late Roger and Elizabeth (Deagan) Scanlan.
Mary Ann lived most of her life in West Norriton. She was a longtime parishioner and volunteer at St. Francis of Assisi RC Church, where she taught and directed the CCD program for many years. She was an active member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians – Notre Dame Division 2. In her younger years, she volunteered along with her husband at West Norriton Little League. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and the AMBUCS. She was a longtime volunteer Poll Worker in West Norriton Twp. Prior to her retirement, she had a long career as a Title Clerk.
She was the wife of the late Floyd R. Romberger.
She is survived by three sons, Paul (Tina) Romberger of Schwenksville, PA, Matthew (Kelly) Romberger of Skippack, PA and Andrew (Kate) Romberger of Lake Wylie, SC; two brothers, Robert (Jane) Scanlan of Royersford, PA and Mike (Sue) Scanlan of Coventry, PA; and sister, Kathleen (James) Picozzi of Hatfield, PA.
She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Alex, Kelly, Zach, Brynn, Sean, Nathaniel, Allie and Nora; great granddaughter, Raelyn, and another great granddaughter on the way.
Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Roger Scanlan, George Scanlan, Bill Scanlan, Phil Scanlan and John Scanlan.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM from St. Francis of Assisi Church, 600 Hamilton Street, Norristown, PA 19401.
Relatives and friends are invited to viewings on Thursday evening, June 5 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA 19401 and on Friday morning, June 6 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church.
Interment will take place at a later date in Riverside Cemetery, West Norriton, PA.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to: Ancient Order of Hibernians, 342 Jefferson St., Bridgeport, PA 19405.
