Marilyn Carr, age 93, of Limerick, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.
She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on January 28, 1933, to the late Robert Watson Carter and the late Catherine (Quinn) Carter. She was the wife of the late Michael Joseph Carr.
Marilyn lived in the Wissinoming section of Philadelphia and was a member of St. Bartholomew's Parish before moving to Limerick, where she resided for 23 years. She was a parishioner of St. Teresa of Calcutta Church. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and painting. Most of all, she cherished time with her family.
She is survived by her two daughters, Cynthia (David) Meredith of Woodstock, GA, and Donna (Steven) Wolaniuk of Collegeville, PA; son, Michael Carr of Philadelphia, PA; eight grandchildren, James Troiano, Andrew Troiano, Vincent Troiano, Amanda Parrish, Ashley Prince, Jessica Dworetsky, Natalie Wolaniuk, and Eric Wolaniuk; as well as 11 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband and parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her siblings, Elizabeth Kemenash, Robert Carter, her twin sister Marion Pedrick, and Frank Carter.
Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation in church on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Teresa of Calcutta Church, 256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville, PA 19473.
Interment will be private at a later date in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, Pennsylvania.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation https://t2t.org/ or the Hero Scholarship Fund of Philadelphia https://www.herosfop.org/.
