Kay A. Thoms, 92, of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Fort Washington Estates.Born December 7, 1933, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Kay was the daughter of the late Robert W. Elliott and the late Amelia M. (Renner) Elliott.
She had been a resident of Pottstown, Pennsylvania and was a former resident of Brigantine, New Jersey and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Kay was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 72 years, William "Bill" Thoms, and beloved son, William Walter "Billy" Thoms, and brother, Robert Elliott.
Kay found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved spending time at the beach and could sit for hours watching the waves roll in. She and Bill looked forward to spending their winters in Florida, where they enjoyed the sunshine, the ocean, and making lasting memories together. Kay loved Bill beyond words, and their 72 years of marriage were a beautiful testament to their unwavering love and devotion.She also enjoyed reading and was never far from a good book. Music was always a part of her home, where the timeless voices of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Tony Bennett often played on her record player. She adored her dogs, loved cooking, and never turned down a good highball. Above all else, Kay cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. Her home was always filled with love, laughter, music, and the people who meant the most to her.
She is lovingly remembered by two daughters, Linda (the late Ronald) Mazzuca of East Norriton and Deborah (George) Welsch of Langhorne; two grandchildren, Nicole (Brian) Ellison and Jennifer (Ken) Sirakides, and four cherished great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jaime, Alexandra, and Kenny.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Kay's life at her Memorial Service on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service.
Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kay's memory to the American Heart Association.
