Kay L. Gallagher

Surrounded by family, Kay L. (Rishell) Gallagher, 79, of East Norriton, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.

Kay was born in Dubois, Pa on November 28, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Mary L. (Miller) Hand and Emery Hand, her step father. Formerly of Douglassville, Audubon and Norristown, PA, Kay had been in assisted living in East Norriton for the last 7 months.

Survivors include her loving husband Joseph Gallagher of East Norriton, PA, daughter Michele (& Joe) Dinan of Worcester, PA, son Patrick (& Aimee) Gallagher of Great Falls, VA, and sister Lynne Ventrone (& Joe) of Malvern, PA. She is also survived by her six grandchildren: Sean (& Lisa), Emily, Patrick, Caroline, Cian and Colin.

Along with her parents and step father, Kay was preceded in death by her sister Judy Simpson and her brother Tom Hand.

Before retiring in 2010, Kay proudly worked for 20 years as a Branch Administrative Assistant for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) in King of Prussia, PA. Prior to that she worked in admissions at Sacred Heart Hospital in Norristown, PA.

Kay was a sweet and loyal friend who loved spending time with her many friends from Norristown, Douglassville and the NRC.

As anyone can tell you, her children and six grandchildren were the joys of her life. Kay frequently shared stories about her beloved family to her caregivers and friends, who always lent a kind and patient ear. Her family will miss her dearly.

Her Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM from Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA.

Friends may call on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA.

Interment will be private.
