Kathleen M. "Kate" Held, age 38, of Perkiomenville, PA passed away unexpectedly on
Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

Kate was born in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania on November 26, 1987. She was a
graduate of St. Mary School in Schwenkville and the former St. Pius X High School in
Pottstown, PA. Kate attended Saint John's University in Queens New York, and
received her Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education graduating Magna Cum
Laude from Carlow University in Pittsburgh. Kate taught Pre-K Counts where she found
her love teaching young underprivileged and special needs children. She continued
teaching in Pittsburgh, the Philadelphia area and Florida.

To know Kate was to know how completely she loved her child. Kate wanted nothing
more than to protect, nurture, and love her son. She celebrated his milestones and
happiness, Being his mother was one of the greatest gifts of her life. Her greatest
legacy is the love she gave her son.

A mother's love does not end when she takes her last breath. It lives on in her child-in
his heart, his memories, and every piece of her that she left behind in him.
Kate is survived by her son James Francis Held, her mother, Suzanne M.
Kelleher (née McCormick), and stepfather Francis Kelleher of Schwenksville; father, James Held of Florida; and brother,
Gregory Held.

Her Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, located at 40 Spring Mount Rd, Schwenksville, PA 19473. Relatives and Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 10 AM to 10:45 AM at the church.

Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken.
