Kathleen M. Dunlevy, ("Kathy to her friends and "Carpy" by her family) was born in West Conshohocken moved and resided in Conshohocken "Conshy" died at the age of 82 on Saturday, September 12, 2026 in a nursing fatality in East Norriton PA. 

Born on June 12, 1944 and raised in West Conshohocken, PA she was one of twelve children (6 sisters and 6 brothers) to the late James Carpenter and Emma (Righter) Carpenter. She was the wife of 43 years to the late Walter A. Dunlevy (d) August 8th 2014.

Kathy was primarily a homemaker and worked part time at "Jems" on 9th and Fayette, formerly known as Lenny's where she would prepare deli sandwiches to residents of Conshy in an effort to contribute to support the family and help make ends meet.

Kathy was very involved with her Christian church life and would read the bible daily. Because she had such a large family being one of twelve, she was involved with all of her family gatherings. She kept her children involved with family affairs, such as her sister Emma Jane's "pool parties", her brother Jimmy's house for 4th of July celebrations, her sister Mary Ann's gatherings and her parents' house in Wildwood. She also hosted affairs at the infamous "1002 Fayette" compound for Waddy's side of the family whenever there was a life event, and who can forget St Patrick Day parties on the porch or yard. I remember our house always being decorated with holiday themed decor, it was cheerful and was her special touch, especially the massive easter baskets we received as kids. We didn't have much growing up and she did her best to make sure we were loved and felt safe.

Kathy enjoyed bowling where she was in a league, crocheting, and sewing in her free time and was pretty competitive at playing cards, especially "Rummy". Mom Mom would play board games and cards with her grandchildren and children and would frequently call out the one "who was cheating". She would allow her grandkids to win but made sure they knew that they were "cheating", it was always funny to hear how she would call that out to them at the dining room or kitchen table playing either board games or cards. Waddy would chime in with an occasional " stop feeding cards" to her if he wasn't winning. It was the good banter that made everyone laugh.

Kathy - Mom was kind, she was a peace maker, she kept the peace (or tried to) in a sometimes-chaotic Dunlevy household. We all knew my father Waddy - who was not always easy to get along with - but had good intentions, she would always find a way to try to bring peace - sometimes unsuccessful by giving her best effort. Perhaps it was because of her strong faith in God that gave her the courage to do so.

On a funny note - most of you may not know this but Waddy, who would refer to himself as "The Monster Man", would call Kathy his wife "Toots" and frequently gave her endearing cards as a sign of affection that she kept until she passed away. 

She is survived by her 3 children, Valarie A Dunlevy of Chelmsford, MA, Brian C Dunlevy of Round Rock Texas, and Patick J Dunlevy of Conshohocken PA, 8 grandchildren: six grandsons, Joseph, Jack, Jared, Zachary,Ryan and Trevor; two granddaughters, Kylie and Reagan, and 2 great grandsons, Bryson and Casey; one brother Gerald "Jerry" of Norristown , two sisters Mary Ann of King of Prussia, and Eileen Farmingdale NJ. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 12 PM to 1:30 PM at Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette St., Conshohocken, PA 19428. 

Her Memorial Service will follow at the Funeral Home.

The interment will be private.
