Obituary

Karen (Przyborowski) Atkins, 64 of Coraopolis, Pa, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024 in her home.

Karen was born on June 16, 1959, in Norristown, PA, a daughter of Frank and Helen (Fabiani) Przyborowski of Collegeville, PA.

Ms. Atkins was a retired contract specialist for the United States Postal Service, where she worked for 40 years. Karen was very devoted to her church, St. Columbkille in Imperial. She loved the fellowship that she gained from her years of attending mass and volunteering. Karen was an active member of the Christian Mothers group and also a big help during St. Columbkille's Fish Fry season. Her giving nature did not stop with the church. Karen was a very active member of her community, working with the West Allegheny Food Pantry. Her love for reading, especially sci-fi novels, led her to begin volunteering at the Western Allegheny Community Library. She loved caring for others and that was evident from the second you met Karen.

Karen was a special woman; she had a heart of gold. Her favorite people to love, were truly her family. Karen's daughters and grandchildren were her entire world. She was the most caring mother and Babcia, as her grandkids lovingly called her. There was not one thing she would not do for them. Her time with her family was what she cherished most. She loved going to the Phillies and Pirates baseball games and local farmers markets. She loved baking and you never left her house hungry.

Her love that she shared with her family is just one of the many reasons that Karen will be greatly missed, but a little piece of her lives on in each of them, forever.

Surviving along with her parents are her daughters, Christine (Lee) Moore and Tiffany (Sarah Stierer) Atkins, grandchildren, Elena and Emmett Moore, siblings, Frank Przyborowski, Nancy (Ship) Shiffler and Stephen (Dawn) Przyborowski and several nieces and nephews.

Her graveside service and interment will occur on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 10:00 AM from Saint Benedict Cemetery, Colwell Lane, Conshohocken, Pa.
