Obituary

Joseph P. Brennan, of East Norriton, beloved husband of Norma, father of Cathy Taylor (Terry), Brian, Joseph Jr. (Terri), and Sharon, "Pop" to Ted Gey, Nicole (Tink) Fisher (Rachel), Mae Sullivan, Devyn and Morgan, and great-grandfather to Jayden Santangelo and Charlotte Fisher, passed peacefully on Wednesday, January 8th surrounded by his loving family.




Joe was also the favorite uncle of many nieces and nephews. Born on July 12, 1930, he is predeceased by his parents, John and Marie, brothers John Jr. and Bill, sisters Helen and Margaret, grandson Eric Gey and is survived by his sister, Patricia Manley.




Joe grew up in Philadelphia and after graduation from St. Thomas More High School worked for a short time in the insurance industry before enlisting in the Navy, where he acquired the electronics expertise that launched his lifelong career at Remington Rand/Univac/Unisys. Joe was an active member of Saint Titus Church, Saint Titus Athletic Association and a co-founder of East Norriton Girls' Athletic Association. He loved time on the golf course as well as umpiring women's slow pitch. Joe was exceptionally brilliant, completing the daily New York Times crossword puzzle and he was also an avid reader.




A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 15 at 11:00 AM at St. Titus Church, 3006 Keenwood Road, East Norriton, PA 19403. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Church.




Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in West Conshohocken in the Spring.
