John F. "Jack" Diamond

John F. "Jack" Diamond

February 25, 1943 – May 5, 2026

John F. "Jack" Diamond, 83, of Worcester, PA passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

He was born in Philadelphia, Pa on February 25, 1943, the son of the late Robert W. and the late Ann C. (Broderick) Diamond.

Jack dedicated his life to education, serving as a devoted teacher for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for 46 years.  He taught at St. Matthew's, Archbishop Kennedy, and Archbishop Wood High Schools.

Jack is survived by the love of his life, Eileen, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage.  He was the devoted father of four daughters: Kathleen (Ronald Owen), Patricia (Michael Higgins), Anne (Michael Petro), and Eileen (Mark Ruegg).  Jack was equally proud of his four sons-in-law, whom he loved as his own.  His greatest joy was his seven grandchildren – Molly, MJ, Aidan, Lucy, Lyla, Brigid, and Finnegan – and he was their biggest fan, showing up for every game, race, and show they were involved with until he couldn't anymore.

Jack is also survived by his brother William Diamond.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Robert Diamond and his sister Elizabeth Kelley.  He was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan, bringing the same enthusiasm to games on TV as he did to his grandkids' activities.  His pride extended to his roots as a dedicated alumnus of St. Joseph's Preparatory School and St. Joseph's University, where he remained a lifelong fan of the Hawks.

Jack's "happy place" was undoubtedly his house in Surf City on Long Beach Island.  His deep love for the beach was a passion he proudly passed down to his children and grandchildren, creating a sanctuary where the family gathered to make memories that will last generations.  Jack's presence, laughter, and support will be deeply missed, but his family takes comfort in the legacy of love he leaves behind.
