Obituary

James "Jim" E. McCabe, 73, of Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, March 9, 2024.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on June 23, 1950, Jim was the beloved son of the late Glenn and Helen (Hannak) McCabe. He spent his formative years in Phoenixville, PA, before settling in Blue Bell, PA, where he resided for the past 39 years. Jim was a member of St. Helena Roman Catholic Church in Blue Bell.

All who knew him recognized his jack-of-all-trades nature. He was known for his readiness to lend a helping hand, always there to fix anything for anyone in need.

In his leisure time, Jim found joy in traveling, particularly cruising, and was a Philadelphia sports fan, passionately cheering on the Phillies and Eagles. Above all, Jim cherished attending his grandson's baseball games, relishing every moment spent with family and friends.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Trish (Kane) McCabe, with whom he shared many cherished memories. He is also survived by his children: Jimmy McCabe and Debbie McCabe of Phoenixville, and Jennifer Henrick of Blue Bell. Jim will be deeply missed by his brothers Rocky McCabe of Phoenixville and Dave Rehbein (wife Michele) of Illinois, as well as his niece Holly of Manayunk.

His memory will forever live on through his cherished grandchildren: Sabrina, Alexis, Cierra, TJ, Shane, and his seven great-grandchildren. Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Mike, of San Francisco, California.

A memorial service to celebrate Jim's life will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 10:30 AM from Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA. With Fr. Joseph Bongard officiating.
