Honoring the memory of Jim…


James "Jim" A. Lovett III, 77, of Collegeville, PA passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024.


Lifelong resident of Pennsylvania, born on April 9, 1947, preceded in death by his parents, James A. Lovett, Jr., and Elaine (Henderson) Lovett.


Jim was a longtime employee of Dolbey Jamison Optical in Pottstown, working as a technician. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, enjoyed hunting, camping and most of all, spending time with his family. He will forever be remembered for sharing experiences with his children, his "smirky" grin, chuckling laughter, quiet demeanor and always being just a phone call away, willing to lend a helping hand.


A Beloved husband to the late Kathleen "Kathie" Ann Lovett of Collegeville; Survived by his children, Jamie Lovett of Gilbertsville, PA, Jennifer Lovett (& Denny) of Royersford, PA, Angela McCaffrey (& Fred) of Phoenixville, PA. James A. Lovett, IV, Richard Lovett, Sr. (& Helena), and Robert Lovett (& Harriet), all of North Carolina.


Devoted "Pop-Pop" to his grandchildren, Brittany, Haley, Taylor, Leah, Isabella, Gianna, Samantha, Bobby, Amanda, and Richie Jr.; Treasured Great Grandfather to several great grandchildren and cherished Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Cherished brother to David "Dave" Lovett of Collegeville, PA.


His Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 West Main Street, Trappe, PA 19426. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Thursday, November 14 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home.


Interment will be private.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
