James J. Harrington, age 90, of Trappe, PA passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026.

He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 19, 1936, the son of the late John and Nora (Bennet) Harrington.

Jim lived in Blue Bell before moving to Trappe, where he has resided for 13 years. He was a parishioner of St. Eleanor's RC Church of Collegeville.

Jim was raised in Philadelphia and was a graduate of the former St. John the Baptist High School, where he played baseball, football and basketball. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from St. Joseph's University. He loved sports and especially enjoyed golfing.

Jim had an accomplished career in Medical Imaging. He began working at General Electric Medical Systems as a young man and progressed through the ranks, ultimately serving as a District Manager. Following his time at General Electric, he founded TriStar MidAtlantic Imaging, where Jim served as President and Chief Executive Officer. The company later became Alpha Medical Imaging. He was well respected in his work and with his clients.

He is survived by his wife, Susan D. Brown; daughter, Sue Ellen (Matthew) Shelak; daughter-in-law, Kate Harrington; brother, Clark (Marlene) Harrington; brother, Roger (Veronica) Harrington; sister-in-law, Eileen Harrington. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Jim was preceded in death by two sons, James J. Harrington, Jr. and Stephen Harrington; and three siblings, John Harrington, Patricia (Robert) McAllister, and Robert (Barbara) Harrington.

His Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at 11:30 AM at St. Eleanor's RC Church, 647 Locust St., Collegeville, PA 19426. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Church prior to Mass.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions made in his name to Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
