Francis A. Rodenbaugh, III, "Fran", age 65, of Limerick, Pennsylvania. After a courageous battle with cancer, Fran peacefully passed away surrounded by family on July 31, 2026.
Born on June 7, 1961, in Norristown, PA. Fran was raised in Bridgeport, PA and has been living in Limerick for over 26 years. He started his career as a Conshohocken Golden Bears football player. He also played for the Bridgeport Little League A's team, American Legion ball for Mt Carmel Club, and Upper Merion High School baseball. He was a talented high school football player, Captain of the only undefeated untied 1978 Suburban One Champions where he received the Harry Fox Award and named First Team All Suburban One. He also was elected to participate in the 1979 Montgomery County All star football game in which he set the record for the longest run from scrimmage of 87 yards and in the process earned MVP honors. Fran loved coaching at many levels. He coached the Bridgeport Dragons, CYO MDP Panthers, and later coached High School Football at St Pius X and Upper Merion High Schools.
He was a volunteer fireman with Goodwill Fire Company in Bridgeport, enjoyed golf, his Tampa Bay Buccaneers (don't ask!) and loved entertaining family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Rodenbaugh (nee Sally); his parents Francis and Barbara Rodenbaugh (nee Sohoski); three children, Francis (Diana) Rodenbaugh, IV, Andrew (Chelsea) Rodenbaugh, and Emily (Jordan) Deane; step son, Bryan (Stephanie) Kopcik; four siblings, Timothy Rodenbaugh, Dawn (Dan) Armenti, James (Elizabeth) Rodenbaugh and Kimberly Laffredo; and five grandchildren, Penelope, Maddie, Julian, Parker, and Ellie, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on August 14, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, Conshohocken PA 19428. A visitation will take place prior to the service beginning at 9:30 AM at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions made to the American Cancer Society and Lisa's Army at 2048A Fairmount Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19128.
