Fr. Bernard L. Maguire, III, age 78, of Plymouth Meeting, PA passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 after a brief illness.

He was born in Wilmington, Delaware on January 31, 1945, the son of the late Bernard L. Maguire, Jr. and the late R. Elizabeth (Knox) Maguire.

Fr. Maguire was raised in North Carolina and Delaware. He has been living in Plymouth Meeting, PA, since the late 1970's.

Fr. Maguire was an Episcopal Priest and served the following parishes: Church of the Transfiguration, Rhode Island, Church of the Holy Communion, South Philadelphia, Calvary Episcopal Church, Conshohocken, Washington Memorial Chapel, Valley Forge, Church of the Ascension, Gloucester City, NJ, and Church of the Holy Spirit, Bellmawr, NJ. He was serving as a supply priest to the two churches in New Jersey immediately prior to his death.

He is survived by his sister, Joann (& Michael) McCarthy; sister in-law, Michele Sylvester; nephew, Kyle Maguire; niece, Jessica Freas; great nieces and nephews, Jasmyne & Dane Freas and Aubrey & Ryan Maguire.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald K. Maguire.

His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428.

Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be private at a later date in Riverview Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.
