Evelyn M.
Finnegan
Oct 14, 1943 — Jan 20, 2024
Evelyn M. Finnegan, age 80, of Swedeland, PA passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024.
She was born in Norristown, PA, on October 14, 1943, the daughter of the late Leo Paul Finnegan and Evelyn (Martella) Finnegan.
Evelyn was a life-long resident of Swedeland. She worked at SmithKline Beecham/Pfizer/GSK over the span of 34 years. She was a true animal lover throughout her life. Evelyn owned dogs, cats, goats and sheep, even an occasional goose or two. She especially loved horses and owned horses since the age of 16. She was passionate about rescuing and helping as many animals as she could from neglect or cruelty. If someone decided they no longer wanted a horse or a goat or a dog or a cat she would take it no questions asked. She also tried to help many people who were less fortunate than her. She just always wanted to help whomever she could. She was never concerned with materialistic belongings. Her life was fulfilled with being surrounded by and helping so many animals over the course of her life.
She is survived by her son, William Place of Trooper; daughter, Amy Totaro of Swedeland; and grandson, Andrew J. Totaro, Jr. and son-in-law, Andrew J. Totaro, both of Conshohocken.
Her Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 11:00 AM from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Friday morning from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home.
