Edith Randall Williams, 78, of Dresher, Pa., passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 5, 2026.

Born in Abington on September 4, 1948, Edith was the daughter of the late Alexander Randall IV, MD, and Nina Randall, MD. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Stokes Williams Jr.

Edith lived in Abington nearly all her life before moving to nearby Dresher in 2023. She spent more than 30 years at Johnson & Johnson, working in research and development, medical affairs, and, later, project management. Much of her project management career was with J&J's Worldwide Division in Fort Washington, a role that took her to many countries throughout Europe.

Following her retirement, Edith remained deeply involved in her community, particularly at Briar Bush Nature Center, where she was a true friend to the organization having served in countless roles, including as a board member and fundraising leader. More recently, she continued to work at Briar Bush and also worked at Lauren's Hallmark Store and volunteered regularly at the Seeds of Hope Food Pantry at Chelten Church. Additionally, over the years, she read to children at local elementary schools, worked at Best Friends Pet Hotel, and participated in flyball, agility, and certified therapy work with her dogs.

Deeply caring and grateful, Edith was always looking for ways to make a positive difference in the lives of those around her. She loved spending time with friends and neighbors, visiting family, cheering on Philadelphia and her grandchildren's sports teams, and spending time at her family's home in Saunderstown, R.I.

She is survived by her three daughters, Angela (Marshall) Hudes of Dallas, Texas; Amy (Jeffrey) York of Pacific Palisades, Calif.; and Aubrey (Chad) Nell of Frisco, Texas; her brother, Alexander Randall V (Beverly Randall, MD), of Princeton, N.J.; five grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Molly.
