Dolores A. "Dee" Stemple, age 86, of Collegeville, PA passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023.
She was born in Collegeville, PA on June 4, 1936, the daughter of the late Allen and Dolores (Walsh) Cuthbertson.
Dee was raised in Collegeville before moving to Blue Bell. In Blue Bell, she raised her two children, Joe and Patti. She then returned to Collegeville where she has lived for the past 20 years. She was a faithful Catholic and parishioner of St. Eleanor RC Church, embodying selflessness through her willingness to put others first. Her caring spirit led her to graduate Nursing School from Montgomery Hospital and work as a Registered Nurse for area hospitals and later for U.S. Healthcare. Her knowledge in nursing helped to provide advice to many friends. She was an active member, board member, and Chaplain of the Blue Bell Women's Club and the Collegeville Community Club, as well as a competitive bridge player at a local Shannondell Club, where she won many accolades and trophies. Her friends and family meant the world to her, and those who knew her loved her.
Dee is survived by her husband of 65 years, Joseph C. Stemple of Collegeville, PA;
son, Joseph (& Mary) Stemple of Lansdale;
daughter, Patti (& Jay) Zubey of Spring City;
sister, Maryellen (& Joseph) Gerstemeier of Cincinnati, OH;
six grandchildren, Kevin (& Therese), Julie (& Colin), Brynne, Courtney, Sean and Claire;
and five great grandchildren, Madeline, Siena, Quinn, Connor and Dylan.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Cuthbertson, and sister, Bernice Cuthbertson Shaddock.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 12:00 PM from St. Eleanor's RC Church, 647 Locust Street, Collegeville, PA 19426. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Friday morning from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Church.
Interment will take place at a later date in Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA.
