David C. Moore, Esq.
David C. Moore passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.
He was born in Norristown, PA on March 7, 1943, the son of the late J. Alan Moore and the late Mary (Carroll) Moore. David was raised in Conshohocken and attended both St. Matthew's Grade school and High School '61. He graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics '65 and a Juris Doctor degree '68. He was a Marine Corp JAG Officer who obtained the rank of Captain and was assigned to Camp Pendleton, CA, Cherry Point NC and the Marine Corp Air Station in Iwakuni, Japan where he served as Military Judge. Upon his discharge from the service, he resided and practiced law for over 40 years; first as an Assistant District Attorney in the San Francisco Bay area, then joined the Harland Law Firm in Humbolt County CA and eventually started his own Family Law Practice in Eureka CA. In 2010, he returned to live in the Conshohocken area.
David was an avid reader and a keen outdoorsman who raised and bred llamas and enjoyed numerous camping, hiking and fly fishing adventures. He loved his San Francisco sports teams and Villanova Basketball.
He is survived by his son Christopher Moore (Kate Baldanza) of State College, PA, daughter Kathleen Moore of Gig Harbor WA, stepson Doug Phillips of Ferndale, CA and grandchildren Solomon, Lydia, Max and Abby. Also survived by brother Bernard Moore (Sue) of Collegeville, PA, sister Helen Fornal (Gregory) of Collegeville, PA. sister Mary Pigeon (Joseph) of Plymouth Meeting, PA and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and cousins.
His Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024 at 10:30 AM from St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church, 219 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:15 AM in the Church. Interment will follow at St. Matthew's Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA.
