Charles Tirendi, 97, of Philadelphia, PA passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026.

He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on December 26, 1928 to the late Joseph Tirendi and the late Rosa (Capella) Tirendi.

Charles honorably served in the U.S. Air Force and had a long career working on the Reading Railroad.

Charles was a man who appreciated life’s familiar pleasures; car rides, his beloved Lexus cars, a fine watch, a cup of coffee served piping hot, dinner dates, and a good game of cards. He loved classical music and playing the piano, enjoyed keeping up with the news, and treasured visiting with his grandchildren. Above all, Charles valued his family and the time he spent with them. His steady, dependable presence was a constant in the lives of those who loved him, and he will be deeply missed

He was the beloved husband of 68 years to the late Elaine (McBride) Tirendi.

He is survived by his son, Charles (Donna) Tirendi of Ringoes, NJ; two daughters, Michele Tirendi of Doylestown, PA and Lynn Tirendi of Lafayette Hill, PA; sister, Jean Smith; and six grandchildren, Brittany Jacobs, Dominique Tirendi, Ally Tirendi, Adriana Tirendi, Charles Tirendi and Sierra Tirendi.

Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings, Nunzio, Margaret, Joseph, Rose and Josephine.

Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by his Memorial Mass at 12:00 PM at St. Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA 19444.

Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn, PA.
