Charles Spencer Smith, age 90, of Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026.

He was born in West Conshohocken, PA, on February 20, 1936, the son of the late Elmo and the late Jannie Smith. A beloved father, brother, and friend, Charles lived in West Conshohocken all through childhood and was a member of Conshohocken High School's class of 1954.

After school, Charles served in the Army, and upon returning home, worked as a cinder block maker and later for the U.S. Post Office. He moved to Hector Street in Conshohocken to raise his family, and resided there for the majority of his remaining years.

He is survived by his daughter, Marguerite (Troy) Smith of Conshohocken; sisters Carol, Frannie, Margie, and Nellie; and grandsons, Marcus and Troy Smith.

Charles is preceded in death by his wife Sophie Smith, father Elmore Smith, mother Jannie Smith, sister Ella Smith, and brothers William, Mark, Jake, Samuel, and Warner Smith.

His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM from Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428.

Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Thursday morning, October 1 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home.

Interment will take place in Chelten Hills Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA.
