Obituary

Charles "Charlie" W. Maggio Sr., age 80, of Douglassville, PA, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026.

He was born in Norristown, PA, on November 23, 1945, to the late Charles Maggio and the late Lillian (Venezia) Maggio.

A beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, Charlie was a proud graduate of Kenrick High School, a bond he shared with his devoted wife, Roseanne (Quintrell) Maggio. Together, they built a loving family and shared a deep appreciation for their roots. A dedicated professional, Charles worked in Production Control at General Electric in King of Prussia.

While he found joy in his career, it was in his personal passions that Charlie truly thrived. He was known for his love for cards, especially poker games and had a group of Pals that shared a regular game for over 50 years. Charlie had a remarkable ability to bring people together, a talent he showcased as a coach for the Norristown Little League and as the driving force behind the resurrection of the Bridgeport Dragons football club.

Charlie leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, cherished by his sons, Charles (Karen), Richard (Susan), and Michael (Amy). He was a proud grandfather to Michael, Charles, Brianna, Daria (Shane), Shauna (Eric), Alexandria, Richard, Kaitlyn, Max, and great-grandfather to 4. He also leaves behind his dear sisters, Sandy Greene, Rosemary (George) DiYenno, sister-in-law Lynne Knetler-Maggio, as well as many nieces and nephews who will forever hold him close in their hearts.

Along with his parents, Charlie was proceeded in death by: brother Vincent Maggio, brother Joseph (the late Marlene) Maggio, and brother-in-law Andy Greene.

A memorial service will be held for Charlie on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, located at 224 W. Main Street, Trappe, PA 19426.
