Catherine Ann Bulizzi, "Cuzzie", age 77, of Philadelphia, PA passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022.
She was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 7, 1945, the daughter of the late David P. and Marie (Kohlbecker) MacGillivray.
Catherine lived most of her life in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia and was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist RC Church. She worked as a Secretary at Roman Catholic High School for over 25 years until her retirement. She was an avid Phillies fan and enjoyed spending time at the beach, family game nights, and thought ice cream was a daily essential. Hosting the family pollyanna on Christmas Eve was a cherished event because seeing her family receive gifts gave her such great joy. Most of all she loved being with her children and grandchildren.
She was the wife of the James Leo Bulizzi. Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Arlene Giammaruti; and brother, David P. MacGillivray, Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Bulizzi of Roxborough; daughter, Sharon (John) Downey of Conshohocken; son, James Bulizzi Jr. (Andrew Chirls) of Narberth; son, Steven Bulizzi of Roxborough; daughter, Jeanine (Matthew) Walters of Roxborough; son in-law, William Giammaruti of Langhorne; sister, MaryEllen (George) Sykes of Roxborough; sister, Patricia (Thomas "Ace") McCann of Eagleville; and nine grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Madelyn, Thomas, Louisa, Christopher, Allison, Annalisa, Leo, Rosalie and Ophelia.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Friday morning from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home.
Interment will be private at a later date.
