Carl F. Janicki, Sr., age 87, of Collegeville, PA passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023.

He was born in Milwaukee, WI on January 19, 1936, the son of the late Casimir "Casey" Janicki and the late Helen (Bonikowski) Janicki.

Carl has been a resident of Skippack Twp. since 1943. He was lifelong parishioner of St. Eleanor RC Church of Collegeville. He had a long career as a Baker for Stroehmann Bakeries. In his younger years, Carl was an active member of the Skippack 4-H. He was an avid horse and farm enthusiast. Later in life, he became a devoted Philadelphia sports fan, especially of the Phillies and also a fan of Notre Dame Football and Duke Basketball.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Janicki (nee Kurtz) of Collegeville; son, Fr. Carl F. Janicki, Jr. of Flourtown; son, Girvin (Monica) Janicki of Skippack; daughter, Nancy Jane (Dana) Lindstrom of Collegeville; son, Zenon (Andrea) Janicki of Collegeville; and brother, Nicholas (Ann Louise) Janicki of Norristown.

He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Alexis (Asher) Hinchman, Kohler Setley, Mallory Janicki, Catherine Janicki, Kayla Janicki, Abigail Janicki, Brayden Janicki and Nolan Janicki; and one great grandson, Cesare Hinchman.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Dr. Casimir Janicki and Bruno Janicki; and granddaughter, Meghan Mary Janicki.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 11:30 AM from St. Eleanor's RC Church, 647 Locust Street, Collegeville, PA 19426. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at Church.

Interment will take place in St. Patrick Cemetery, East Norriton, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Eleanor's RC Church at the above address.
