Brenda S. Hauk, age 80, of Conshohocken, PA passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.

She was born in Concord, North Carolina on January 2, 1943, the daughter of the late Alonzo and Pauline (Galyan) Whitley.

Brenda lived in Conshohocken for over 50 years before moving to Columbia Cottage of Collegeville in November. She was a graduate of Norristown High School, and she worked as an Executive Secretary for 30 years. Brenda loved to play bingo and cards, as well as cook for her neighbors and family. She adored her grandchildren, who remember her for her light-hearted sense of humor.

She is survived by her son, Roy "Sam" (& Natalie "Gail") Layden of Swedesburg; daughter, Kimberly (& Robert) Loesch of Schwenksville; brother, Alonzo (& Ruth) Whitley, Jr. of Norristown; sister, Elizabeth Diane (& Roy) Leaman of Narvon, PA; grandchildren, Robbie, Jerry, Rachel, Lillian, Emily; and great granddaughter, Rory.

Brenda was preceded in death by her grandson, Roy Layden, Jr.

Her Memorial Service will be held Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA 19401. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Paoli Hospital Foundation.
