Arvo Steinpick, age 89, of Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026.

Born in Estonia on July 18, 1937, Arvo was the son of the late Helene and Rudolph Steinpick. At just 10 years old, he began his journey from Estonia to America-a courageous new beginning that helped shape the strong and resilient man he became. He embraced America as his home and later proudly served in the United States Air Force, reflecting his gratitude for and commitment to the country that welcomed him.

Arvo was a man who loved to move through life-especially on the dance floor. Ballroom dancing was one of his greatest joys, and he competed for a time before sharing his love of dance and Estonian culture as a longtime dancer with the Estonian Club in Lakewood, New Jersey. He was always willing to lend a hand around the club and treasured the friendships and sense of community he found there.

A gifted athlete, Arvo was exceptionally fast and excelled in both track and football during his high school years. He also loved playing golf, was an accomplished bowler, and took great pride in working in and caring for his yard.

Arvo began life as a loyal New York Giants and Yankees fan, but his love for his son eventually accomplished what once might have seemed impossible-turning him into a Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan. He also became one of the biggest and most enthusiastic supporters of Erik's many fantasy football teams, even though, at times, he had no idea what was going on. It was yet another sweet example of how much he loved his son, because while Arvo's favorite teams may have changed over the years, his greatest loyalty was always to Erik.

For more than six decades, Arvo fought a deeply personal battle with depression. He endured hardships and hospital stays that few people could ever fully understand, yet he continued to rise and fight again. His illness was only one part of his life-it was never the measure of the man he was.

At the center of Arvo's life was his beloved son, Erik. His love for Erik gave him strength through even the darkest days. No matter how difficult the road became, Arvo never stopped fighting and never stopped being a father. He endured more than anyone should have to endure, and he did so out of an extraordinary and unwavering love for his only son.

To Erik, Arvo was far more than a father. He was his hero, his warrior, and his champion. Erik could not be prouder of the courage his father showed throughout his life or more grateful for the love and sacrifices that defined their bond.

After a lifetime of fighting, Arvo passed into God's hands with his dignity and spirit intact. Depression may have pursued him for much of his life, but it did not win. Arvo's victory is found in the life he lived, the love he gave, the son for whom he never stopped fighting, and the enduring legacy of courage he leaves behind.

Arvo is survived by his loving son, Erik Steinpick. He was preceded in death by his parents, Helene and Rudolph Steinpick.

A memorial service celebrating Arvo's life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, Pennsylvania 19428. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the beginning of the service.

Following the service, family and friends are invited to continue celebrating Arvo's life at his home, located at 1000 Maple Street, Conshohocken, Pennsylvania 19428-the large corner house at 10th and Maple Streets.

Arvo fought bravely, loved deeply, and never gave up. He leaves this world not as a man defeated, but as the champion he always was.
