Obituary

Mrs. Anne Marie Hemcher, 91, of Bryn Mawr, PA passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026.

She was born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania on August 1, 1935, to the late William Long Sr. and the late Anne Marie (Campbell) Long.

Anne spent her whole life living in the area, except when she was enjoying the sun in Avalon and Naples. She attended the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur in Villanova and was a parishioner of St. Thomas of Villanova Church. While she made it her life's work to help raise her family, from her children to her great-grandchildren, she quickly became known as a motherly figure to everyone who knew her.

She is survived by son, Charles (Kathy) Hemcher; daughter, Anne Marie "Amy" (John) Brennan; son, Timothy Hemcher; daughter, Cathy (Joe) Carr; son, Thomas Hemcher; son, Mark "Sarge" Hemcher; daughter, Karen Hemcher; brother, William (Jean) Long, Jr.; grandchildren, Charles, Carly, Kyle, Kevin, John, Christopher, Ashley, Bridget, Jake, Catie, Kelsie, Tom Jr., Lauren "Dolly", Billy, Brandon, and Taylor; great-grandchildren, Brennan, James, Sophie, Kinsley, Tucker, Aubrey, Kyle Jr., Ella, Jack, Charlie, and Carter.

Anne is preceded in death by spouse, Charles Hemcher, Sr..

Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at St. Denis Church, located at 2401 St Denis Lane, Havertown, PA 19083. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Denis Church.
