Obituary of Karl Roth

Karl K. Roth, Jr., age 79, died peacefully at home on March 23, 2015. He had resided in Worcester Township most of his life, and was a dedicated, self-employed farmer. Born in Fairview Village on November 29, 1935, he was the son of the late Karl Kurt Roth, Sr. and Frieda Rosine (Schintzel) Roth. Mr. Roth enjoyed his life of farming; he loved his Charolais cattle which he bred and raised. He also farmed grain crops and was a member of Keystone Grange #2 in Trappe. He liked to go to Iowa for the antique tractor parades, and was a valued supporter of 4-H. Mr. Roth was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Fairview Village. Survivors include his former wife, Mary Jane (Winters) Roth of Collegeville; their children, James K. Roth (Judy) of Barto, Rebecca J. Pettine (David) of Schwenksville, Megan Roth of Collegeville, Richard Roth (Melissa) of Gilbertsville, and Rachel Roth-Laverty (Shawn) of Pottstown; grandchildren Danielle, Gabrielle, Christopher, Victoria, Matthew, Cody, Lacey, and Hannah; and great grandchildren Zachary, Lucas, Sebrina, and Kaelyn. He is also survived by companion Lynn Bernhard of Harleysville. His grandson Eric Matthew Pettine preceded him in death in 1999. Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral at the Moore, Snear, and Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 W. Main St., Trappe PA 19426 on Friday, March 27, at 11:00 AM with visitation from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park. The Reverend Ernest E. Mascho will preside.
